For the periods of time that we had no finance manager, I was the person tasked with all things HR and payroll related. Pros: We have changed finance managers 4 times in the last 5 years. I was instructed to comb through to double check all information even though all information had been entered correctly on our end. Most recently, our payroll date was moved from the Friday the 13th of October to Monday the 16th of October without consent or consultation with our company which resulted in a number of our staff receiving NSF charges. We have also had occurrences of employees only receiving half of their pay even though their pay statement shows otherwise and our account was debited for a different amount. They have not been able to resolve this in the 10 weeks since it began which means I am now having to manually enter timesheet information and substitute cost centres and then update our journal entry with the actual costs centres.Another update was completed and now not only can I not see new cost centres in the time sheets, I can no longer export them to excel or print a pdf or even copy them as text off the website.Since the upgrade an number of our employees have not received payment even though they were on the payroll register and our account was debited for the amount. Because of this, I was having to manually enter timesheet information and cost centres every day for each employee.ADP completed an update and with that update I was unable to access any new cost centre added. Employees were able to track their time, but not the cost centre. They make a great product.Ĭons: We were told our staff would be able to track time and cost centre through their ADP Workforce App. Yes, you can build your own reports and alerts, but don't let me sell it to you, really hit up ADP and ask them about it. Because yes, the dashboards are beautiful. And there's a lot of features that they supply that you would never think of, but really go see a salesperson and see what they have to offer. So they clock in, clock out when they go in and out of the building. We have hundreds of employees here and they have these finger scanners or whatever. Because once you start seeing the advantages, it's a no brainer. If somebody were to move to Workforce Now, besides saying absolutely guaranteed, like go to it, hit up their PR people or their sales people, let them demo you the product. And we saved a lot of manual entries and a lot of time just analyzing that by them providing us the information. So using the platform was extremely easy to use and fun to use. As long as those alerts and setups are set up. It just pushes the information to you rather than you grabbing the information. You could actually track people's habits. There's tons of tools that you would've never noticed before, but they provide to you and you realize that moving to ADP Workforce Now was truly worth it because you start seeing things that you didn't see before, and you could automate these reports. You log into a beautiful dashboard, which could be configured to whatever way that you want. We had an implementation person who helped us implement everything, but once we're on board, using all the tools was extremely easy and intuitive to use. Getting started with ADP is extremely easy. So, that was the main reason we wanted to move over to Workforce Now. And we needed to export all the data from Workforce Now with the proper GL codes into our accounting software. So they give you the tools needed to actually build reports, customer reports, you could build alerts and you could export stuff into different various file formats.Īnd the exporting was critical or key because we configured Workforce Now, we have multiple divisions at our facility and all those facilities have different GL codes. One of the greatest things about Workforce Now, is that you had a lot of customization and configuration of your own reports and your own data sets. We actually moved into it because of the flexibility. And when it first came out, everything was cloud, but we didn't move to it because of the cloud. So, one of the great thing about Workforce Now was it was a cloud platform. But over the years, we were looking into other products and we did see that ADP had a platform called Workforce Now, and that's how we decided to move to that. Anytime you needed anything specialized you would've to call in and get something customized. You wouldn't be able to customize reports. We initially started using Ceridian and after Ceridian, we actually went to ADP, but it wasn't Workforce Now, it was a version before Workforce Now, and it was very limiting.
